Tottenham Hotspur new boy Steven Bergwijn burst onto the scene this week as he scored a sensational goal on his debut against Manchester City.
Bergwijn chested down a Lucas Moura cross before volleying the ball home past Ederson to open the scoring at home to the current Premier League title holders.
The Dutch winger then pulled up with cramp in the closing stages of the match as he adjusts to life in England, although Spurs went on to win 2-0.
Unfortunately, Bergwijn now has to sit on the sidelines for Tottenham’s next competitive match in the FA Cup against Southampton in mid-week.
FA Cup rules state that a player must be eligible for the first leg of a match in order to play in the replay, and seeing as Bergwijn only joined Spurs last week, he cannot feature (Football London).
However, the attacker will be able to feature against Norwich in the fifth round if Spurs make it past the Saints.
