Report: Winger linked with Spurs close to completing move to La Liga club

Porto winger Jesus Corona, who has been linked with a move to Tottenham this summer, is close to completing a move to Sevilla, according to Corriere dello Sport.

Spurs have already secured the signing of one wide player this summer in the form of Bryan Gil, while the likes of Ruben Kazan’s Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Wolves’ Adama Traore have also been linked with a move to North London in recent weeks.

Corona, who has been one of Porto’s most potent attackers since arriving from FC Twente in 2015, was also thought to be on Spurs’ radar, with Duncan Castles claiming last month that the Lilywhites were monitoring the Mexican, who was valued at £22m.

However, if Sport’s latest update is to be believed, it is only a matter of time before Corona completes a move to Seville.

The report reveals that the 28-year-old is preparing to say goodbye to Porto and has already reached an agreement with the La Liga club.

While his purchase has not been formalised yet, it is stated that it could be sealed within the next few days.

Spurs Web Opinion

I would be surprised if we signed another wide player before the transfer window shuts. In Son, Bergwijn, Lucas and Gil, Nuno has four options that he seems to trust. A right-back and a backup striker are arguably bigger priorities before the window slams shut.
