Report: Wolves agree £18m deal for striker who allegedly rejected Spurs loan in 2020

According to The Sun, Wolves have agreed a deal to sign Real Sociedad striker Willian Jose, who was previously on Tottenham’s radar, on an initial loan deal with an option to make it permanent.

Jose was heavily linked with a move to Spurs in the past, with the North Londoners seeing their attempt to snap up the Brazilian fall through in the final days of last year’s January transfer window.

Tottenham were linked with the Sociedad star during the summer window too, with Mundo Deportivo even claiming that Jose rejected the chance to move to the club on loan as he wanted a permanent transfer.

It looks as though the striker has now had a change of heart as The Sun reveal that he has agreed to move to Molineux on a temporary deal until the end of the season.

The report claims that Nuno Espirito Santo’s side have signed Jose to cover for long-term absentee Raul Jimenez, with the club having the option to make the deal permanent for £18m.
