Report: Wolves keen to land Spurs striker as part of potential swap deal

Wolverhampton Wanderers are reported to be confident of signing Carlos Vinicius from Benfica this summer, according to Football Insider.

The striker has spent the season on loan at Tottenham Hotspur where he has made 24 appearances in all competitions, scoring ten goals and providing three assists (transfermarkt).

The Portuguese outfit revealed that Spurs paid 3million euros (£2.7million) to take Vinicius on loan and also have the option to make the deal permanent for 45million euros (£40.83million).

Sky Sports claimed on Tuesday that Tottenham have no intention of attempting to sign the Brazilian beyond this season’s loan deal and will instead return to his parent club with the North London outfit instead focusing on recruiting a different striker to act as a back up for Harry Kane.

Football Insider claim that Wolves are keen to extend Vinicius’ stay in England and are prepared to offer Benfica Ruben Vinagre as part of a potential deal.
