Report: Wolves make move to sign Spurs player in part-exchange deal

According to Football Insider, Wolves have now made a move to sign on-loan Spurs striker, Carlos Vinicius ahead of the summer transfer window.

Tottenham signed the Brazilian centre-forward on loan at the start of the season from Portuguese side Benfica.

Although he has been used sparingly, mostly in the Europa League and domestic cup competitions, Vinicius has racked up 10 goals and three assists in 23 games this season.

TransferMarkt claim that Vinicius is worth around £18m in the current market and it is said that Wolves have already contacted Benfica over a possible deal.

The report also confirms that Spurs have an option to buy Vinicius permanently at the end of the season for £36m but added that the club do not plan on triggering this clause.

Wolves are said to be keen on offering left-back, Ruben Vinagre, in a player-swap deal for Vinicius as Benfica are interested in the defender and the player himself is open to a move.
