Report: Wolves submit bid for Spurs-linked French defender

Wolverhampton Wanderers have made a £13.5m bid for defender Axel Disasi, according to L’Equipe.

Spurs were linked with the Stade de Reims defender last month in a report by RMC Sport who claimed the 22-year-old had also sparked interest from Germany too.

However, L’Equipe claim Wolves to have stepped up and made an offer to the French side and hope to snatch the centre-back ahead of their Premier League rivals.

Disasi played a huge role in the Reims side who earned the chance to play in the Europa League for next season with a sixth-placed finish.

He featured 27 times in this season’s Ligue 1 campaign and scored on one occasion (Transfermarkt).

The young defender has just entered the final 12 months of his contract with Spurs interested in bringing him to North London.

Despite Wolves’ £13.5m offer, it is reported Reims are willing to hold out for offers in the region of £18m (GFFN).

Disasi has all the characteristics of a great, modern centre-back. At 6ft 2″, Disasi also has the pace and technical ability to make it in the Premier League, so it is unlikely Reims will allow him to go for cheap.
