Report: Yet another club is interested in Giovani Lo Celso – Tried to sign him in January

According to Pianeta Milan, Tottenham midfielder Giovani Lo Celso is generating interest from AC Milan this summer.

Lo Celso is one of several players who looks destined to leave Spurs this summer after being completely frozen out of Antonio Conte’s pre-season plans.

Reports over recent weeks have indicated that Villarreal are keen on signing the 26-year-old permanently on the back of his loan spell at the club last season (Todofichajes).

Fiorentina (The Times) and Napoli (Area Napoli) are also thought to be on Lo Celso’s trail, while it emerged earlier this week that Spurs are contemplating offering the midfielder to AS Roma as a makeweight in a deal for Nicolo Zaniolo (CalcioMercatoWeb).

Pianeta Milan have claimed that another Serie A club in the form of AC Milan are now eyeing a move for the Argentine.

The report asserts that the Rossoneri have been following Lo Celso for a ‘long time’ and even came close to snapping him up in January before the midfielder completed a temporary switch to Villarreal.

Spurs Web Opinion

I am not surprised that Lo Celso is generating so much interest around Europe on the back of his impressive showing with Unai Emery’s men in the second half of last season.

Unfortunately for Spurs, none of the aforementioned clubs seem to have the financial means to pay market value for the Argentine. So, it would probably have to be a loan with an obligation to buy next summer.
