Reported Spurs target interacts with Lucas Moura on Instagram

Real Sociedad striker William Jose has interacted with Spurs attacker Lucas Moura on Instagram.

Jose has been linked heavily with a move to Tottenham over the last couple of weeks as Jose Mourinho looks to bring in a centre forward to replace the injured Harry Kane (the Sun).

The Guardian claims that the Lilywhites are keen on landing the Brazilian before the close of the transfer window even though the clubs are said to be £11 million apart in their valuation.

So given the speculation linking the striker with a move to Spurs, some fans got extremely excited when Jose responded to Lucas Moura post on Instagram.

Moura took to the social media platform to congratulate his former club Sao Paulo on their 90-year anniversary.

His message translated from Portuguese read: “How I love you TRICOLOR!! How I love you so much!! Congratulations to this club that I will be forever grateful to and carry forever in my heart. 90 years of history and tradition!”

Moura’s compatriot Jose, who spent a year on loan at Sao Paulo when he was younger, responded to the post with a Sao Paulo flag emoji and two clapping hand symbols.

Spurs Web Opinion

You can tell we are getting close to transfer deadline day when Spurs fans get extremely excited about players’ activity on social media and look for cryptic messages in their posts. While it could well be that we are keen on landing Jose, his comment on Moura’s post likely had nothing to do with any potential transfer.
