Reported Tottenham manager target admits he dreams of Barcelona move

Tottenham’s rumoured managerial target, Arne Slot, has admitted that he dreams of managing Barcelona one day.

The speculation linking Slot with a move to Tottenham seems to be gathering steam as we get closer to the end of the season.

The Times revealed last week that the Dutchman fits the profile of head coach that Spurs are looking for, given his possession-based, attacking approach.

The publication added that Tottenham not alone in their admiration of the Feyenoord boss, with West Ham United and Crystal Palace also thought eyeing a move for him in the summer.

90 min claimed just a couple of days ago that Slot is indeed part of the shortlist that Spurs have narrowed their search down to, with the North London club said to be keen to speak with the 44-year-old.

It appears that the Feyenoord head coach has big career ambitions as he has now admitted to wanting to take over at Camp Nou one day.

When quizzed on what his dream job would be, Slot simply responded (via ESPN NL): “Barcelona.”

Spurs Web Opinion

I am convinced that Slot will leave Feyenoord this summer as the Dutchman will realise that his stock is really high right now and that he will have to strike when the iron is hot.

However, it remains to be seen how Paratici’s resignation would impact Tottenham’s choice of a new manager.

Levy might first want to appoint a new director of football before resuming the search for a new head coach.
