Reports claim La Liga club are interested in signing Sergio Reguilon from Spurs

Sevilla are interested in signing Tottenham defender Sergio Reguilon on loan this summer, according to multiple reports.

The 25-year-old’s future has been plunged into doubt after he emerged as a surprise omission from the Spurs squad for their pre-season tour of South Korea.

The decision comes on the back of a difficult season for the former Real Madrid left-back, who missed the final handful of games of the campaign with a groin injury.

But a return to Sevilla has now been touted with journalist Ekrem Konur claiming the La Liga side are planning to hold talks with Spurs about a potential loan deal.

The report is also supported by Spanish outlet Muchodeporte, who claim the Sevillistas Rojiblancos are keen on a move, but under specific conditions.

It is explained Sevilla do not want to be pressured into an outright transfer with an obligation clause, while they would want Reguilon to drop down on what he currently earns at Spurs.

Antonio Conte leaving Reguilon out of the travelling squad for their pre-season tour is pretty telling of where his future may lie.

He hasn’t really progressed into the left-back many expected him to be plus injuries haven’t really helped him, but a good offer could see Spurs shift him on.
