If the latest reports from Italy are to be believed, a return to the Premier League is still on the cards for former Tottenham midfielder, Christian Eriksen.
The Daily Star claimed last week that Eriksen is unlikely to return to England in January and prefers a move to Paris Saint-Germain instead.
However, Sport Witness have now relayed reports from Gazzetta Dello Sport and Corriere Dello Sport that claim the opposite.
Gazzetta Dello Sport reveal that the 28-year-old has an agreement with Inter to leave the club next month, with the Serie A side keen on getting his salary off their wage bill.
It is said that the former Spurs man is keen to at least get a loan move away from the San Siro as he wants to get regular game time under his belt ahead of the Euros in the summer.
The report suggests that both Manchester United and Arsenal have made tentative approaches for the Dane.
Meanwhile, Corriere Dello Sport also named Man Utd and Arsenal as potential suitors for Eriksen but they claim that a move to the Emirates is more likely for the midfielder since the Gunners could potentially offer Granit Xhaka to Inter in exchange.
Spurs Web Opinion
I can certainly see why Arsenal would want to sign Eriksen given their lack of creativity. However, I see no reason why the 28-year-old would want to go to the Gunners. Not only would it tarnish his Spurs legacy but Mikel Arteta’s side very much look like a sinking ship at the moment, with reports indicating that there is a big rift in the Arsenal changing room.
