Reports provide update on Dusan Vlahovic’s future – Bid ready to be accepted

According to The Daily Star, Juventus believe that rumoured Tottenham target Dusan Vlahovic wants to join them.

Tottenham have been heavily linked with a move for Vlahovic over the past few months, particularly after Antonio Conte took over as head coach (Gazzetta).

Until a couple of weeks ago, Arsenal were reported to be the front-runners to snap up the Serbian international during this month’s transfer window (The Athletic).

However, it emerged on Monday that Juventus were ready to make a concrete offer for the 21-year-old (Fabrizio Romano).

Sky Italia have subsequently claimed that Vlahovic is not willing to consider offers from Spurs and Arsenal.

They also added that the Old Lady are in talks with Fiorentina, who are demanding €70m (£58.7m) for the centre-forward.

The Daily Star have now stated that Vlahovic wants to join a club that can offer him Champions League football, thus making Juventus the favourites to sign him ahead of both the North London clubs.

The report suggests that despite Spurs enquiring about the Fiorentina star, Massimiliano Allegri’s side believe that Vlahvoic would prefer a move to the Allianz Stadium.

Fabrizio Romano has added that Juventus have submitted an official bid of €75m and Fiorentina are prepared to accept it. The Old Lady will thus now enter talks on personal terms with Vlahovic and his camp.

Spurs Web Opinion

To me, it always seemed clear from the outset that despite Fiorentina’s intention to sell Vlahovic to Spurs or Arsenal, the striker preferred a move to Juventus.

One cannot blame him for that as the Serbian would be guaranteed to be the main man upfront for Allegri’s side and he will believe he can fire them to the title next season.
