Reports suggest that disgraced Lloris will lose captaincy to Spurs team-mate

After the Tottenham goal keeper Hugo Lloris was caught drink driving earlier this week, all the talk has been about whether the Frenchman will lose his captaincy.

Reports now suggest that Harry Kane will indeed take over the captain’s armband, in response to Lloris’ lapse in judgement.

Harry Kane is seen as a ready made replacement, as not only has he worn the armband for Spurs already on numerous occasions, he is actually the current captain for his country, England.

Kane led his team to their best finish at a World Cup in almost three decades this summer, as England descended on the tournament in Russia.

While the striker is undoubtedly a ready-made replacement, it is still far from an ideal situation for Pochettino and Spurs.

Should Lloris lose his captaincy? Or should it be given to the likes of Vertonghen or Dier?
