Multiple reports from Italy are now claiming that Nikola Milenkovic is expected to leave Fiorentina on a cut-price deal this summer amidst interest from Tottenham.
Tottenham have been locked in talks with Atalanta for Cristian Romero over the past few weeks and reports indicate that the North Londoners have been left frustrated by the manner in which negotiations have unfolded.
Romero is said to be keen on completing a move to Spurs and is expected to convey his desire to leave to the Atalanta hierarchy.
It was previously reported that Milenkovic was one of the alternatives Tottenham are considering if they are unable to agree on a deal for the Argentine international.
If the latest reports emerging out of Italy are to be believed, the Serbian is now edging to close to an exit from the Artemio Franchi Stadium.
Calciomercato have claimed that the 23-year-old, who is appreciated by Fabio Paratici, has no intention of signing a contract extension with the Viola and is keen to leave.
Meanwhile, La Nazione also state that the centre-back is expected to leave, with only his destination yet to be confirmed.
The report adds that Tottenham are the only club to make an offer for Milenkovic so far and that the Lilywhites could snap up the defender if they meet Fiorentina’s €20m (£17m) asking price.

If the Romero deal collapses for some reason, it sounds like a deal for Milenkovic would prove straightforward for Spurs to complete.
The fact that Paratici seems to be prioritising a deal for Romero despite the Argentine being valued at almost three times as much as Milenkovic, suggests that the Italian is desperate to land the Atalanta star.
