Some Tottenham fans have been left extremely impressed by Maksim Paskotsi’s performance as Estonia played out a 0-0 draw against Wales on Wednesday.
Estonia went into the game in Cardiff as massive underdogs, having lost against a weakened Belgian side as well as Northern Ireland last week.
However, against the odds, the Baltic nation managed to frustrate Wales and come away with a point from the game.
Paskotsi put in an accomplished display in the right side of a back three against a strong Wales forward line that featured the likes of Gareth Bale and Daniel James.
The 18-year-old was used as a right-back in pre-season by Nuno Espirito Santo and was handed his competitive Spurs first-team debut in the 1-0 first-leg loss Pacos De Ferriera last month.
On seeing Paskotsi’s accomplished display on Wednesday, some Spurs fans are excited to see how the defender will develop over the coming years.
Generational talent

Cap number 7 for Maksim Paskotši last night. 🇪🇪
At just 18 years of age he is getting phenomenal international experience. In years to come he will count as both Home Grown and Club Trained. pic.twitter.com/POTCzjgplf

Very good defender on our hands. https://t.co/WdwwoeJlvC

Hate to say it but Bale and Wales' chances of making the World Cup look extremely dim after tonight's failure to beat Estonia.
Young Paskotsi was a giant in defense, all 18 years of him. A star in the making.

Spurs cannot let Paskotši slip through their fingers.
He's smashing it at an International level at a very young age.
He's such a ridiculous talent pic.twitter.com/9gX2EW1UGs

Spurs Web Opinion
I am not on the Paskotsi hype train just yet and will wait to see more of him before making up my mind. However, the experience of playing high-pressure international matches at such a young age will certainly hold him in good stead. The 18-year-old might get a chance to prove himself in the Europa Conference League this season.
