Rival fans’ digs at new stadium reek of desperation

After repeated setbacks, Tottenham’s new stadium finally appears ready to host Premier League and Champions League games from the start of April.

Despite all the negative press owing to the delays, there is no doubt that chairman Daniel Levy has delivered a world-class facility.

The stadium while being set up to maximize revenue by redefining the matchday experience with an enviable selection of food and drink options, also retains a sense of authenticity through the single tier south stand, and the proximity of the stands to the pitch.

Needless to say, it appears that the long wait has certainly been worth it for Spurs fans.

Arsenal and West Ham fans, whose teams play in stadiums that a sizable portion of their own fan base loath, certainly can’t help but be jealous of what Tottenham have been able to build in the same site where White Hart Lane once stood.

So naturally a few of them tried to take digs at Tottenham’s new stadium but their efforts came across looking rather desperate

Spurs fans on social media, however, didn’t take the bait and just reminded their rivals about who now has the better stadium
