Speaking in a press conference, Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has claimed that Tottenham will be challenging England’s very best next season.
Spurs’ emphatic 5-0 away win at Norwich City saw them return to the Champions League for the first time since the 2019/20 season (UEFA).
This completes an amazing turnaround from Antonio Conte and his team, with Spurs languishing in ninth position in the Premier League when the Italian was appointed Spurs boss in November (EuroSport).
The Spurs faithful have made no secrets about their love for the 52-year-old with chants of “Antonio” a consistent feature at Spurs games this season. But it seems that Conte is also now getting the recognition he deserves from fellow managers.
Football Daily tweeted a clip from Tuchel’s press conference in which he said: “It will be a super tough race. Manchester United will be in the race. Tottenham will be in the race with Antonio Conte for sure and we want to stay in the race.”

Spurs finished just three points behind Tuchel’s Champions League-winning Chelsea side (Premier League), despite Conte not taking charge of the Lilywhite’s first three months of the season and it is clear that the German respects the work being done in N17.
Spurs Web Opinion
It is excellent to see Spurs taken seriously again and put in the conversation to battle with Europe’s elite. It is also an added bonus that Tuchel failed to mention Arsenal among these clubs! However, if Spurs are to fulfil this prophecy, a busy summer of transfer business needs to ensue.
