Romano reveals Tottenham’s ‘good relationship’ with PL club as they discuss multiple players

Fabrizio Romano has claimed Tottenham have a good relationship with Everton amidst their discussions to sign forward Richarlison.

Richarlison has been tipped to leave Everton this summer after telling the club of his desire to seek a fresh challenge (Goal Brasil).

A host of clubs have shown interest in the Brazil international with all of Tottenham, Chelsea and Arsenal queuing up to secure a transfer (Daily Mail).

Sky Sports journalist Lyall Thomas recently revealed Spurs are considering a package deal to sign Richarlison alongside teammate Anthony Gordon, who enjoyed a breakthrough campaign despite Everton’s struggles.

Meanwhile, it was previously mooted that out-of-favour midfielder Spurs midfielder Winks could be sent to Goodison Park as a potential makeweight to seal a deal (Daily Mail).

Italian journalist Romano has added that Tottenham and Everton remain in talks with a potential switch on the agenda, while both clubs have a strong working relationship after the latter acquired Dele Alli in January.

He said on his YouTube channel: “Fabio Paratici is always working on many different things. This is still the case as he’s working on Richarlison with Everton.

“They discussed together, the two clubs, about Harry Winks, who could be one of the signings for Everton this summer.

“They also discussed other players, not just Winks. They have a very good relationship because of the Dele Alli deal in January.

“Richarlison is one of the players in the list for Tottenham. They already had direct talks with his new agents since April, so the player’s side know about Tottenham’s interest.”

Tottenham’s chase for Richarlison is continuing to rumble on and hopefully, the latest discussions will be able to see some progress being made.

Both players would fit what either club needs going forward so that could accelerate negotiations, but the biggest point will be how the deals could be structured.
