Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Harry Kane not showing up to training at Hotspur Way this morning was the striker’s choice and not related to COVID-19 tests.
This comes after Sky Sports reported earlier this morning that Kane had not returned to training despite being due to do so.
Sky Sports reporters were camped outside Hotspur Way to see which Spurs stars would return for duty, but Harry Kane was apparently absent.
Of course, Kane has been heavily linked with a potential big-money transfer to Man City this summer and some reports have claimed that the Spurs man has his heart set on the move (BBC).
Romano has backed up the claims made by Sky Sports, claiming that Kane was indeed absent from training. He also pointed out that it was a choice by the striker, who believes he has a gentlemen’s agreement to leave Spurs this summer.
Confirmed. Harry Kane has NOT shown up for Tottenham training, as @skysportspaulg revealed. Been told it’s Harry Kane choice and not related to Covid test. ⚪️ #THFC
Kane is assuming that he has had a ‘gentlemen agreement’ with the club since one year to leave Spurs this summer.

Spurs Web Opinion:
I wouldn’t get too carried away with this story. He could easily turn up in the next hour or perhaps tomorrow morning. Even if he has done this to force through a move, Tottenham will not sell unless they receive a good offer.
