Danny Rose has spoken of his desire to make a proper breakthrough into the Tottenham first team next season.
Rose is already a cult figure with the fans after his stunning volley in the 2-1 win over local rivals Arsenal last season.
Having figured in the 4-0 win over Bournemouth, and getting on the scoresheet in the process, Rose is keen to build on that start and gain more playing time.
“The physios gave me a strengthening programme for my knee throughout the summer and I’ve been working as much as I can in the off-season.
“I want to prove to the manager and the fans that I’m good enough to be part of his plans this season.
“You try and hot the ground running in pre-season. We all got 45 minutes at bournemouth and I just wanted to impress the manager.”
