Is Rose ready to stay?

An article in The Mirror describes how an action in the dressing room by Danny Rose has possibly thrown his supposed move away from Spurs in to doubt

The defender has been linked with a move away from Tottenham but the article says this could be a sign of his true intent

The article describes how Harry Kane broke Alan Shearer’s Premier League record to score the most calendar year goals in Premier League history as Tottenham smashes Southampton 5-2 on Boxing Day.

It adds that the England striker’s treble saw him notch 39 league goals in 2017, even surpassing Lionel Messi’s total for club and country in the process.

And it adds that after celebrating Tottenham’s success in a seven-goal thriller at Wembley, Kane was the centre of attention in the dressing room. That was until fans noticed what Danny Rose was doing.

The left-back, 27, is a supposed 50million target for Manchester United in the January transfer window and the article reminds us on the eve of this season the England international, who is understood to be on £65,000-a-week at Spurs, claimed he was underpaid It goes on to quote Rose as saying: “I am reaching my peak and have probably only got one big contract left in me.I’m not saying I want out, but if something came to me that was concrete, I’d have no qualms about voicing my opinions to anyone at the club.”

However as Kane took the plaudits the article says it was Rose who grabbed the dressing room spotlight as fans noticed how he was pointing to his Tottenham badge with a huge smile.

Eagle Eyed supporters on social media have taken this as a ‘clear hint’ that Rose does not want to quit Tottenham when the window re-opens for business which of course could mean bad news for interested United boss Jose Mourinho and possibly United full-back Luke Shaw woo Spurs have been linked with if Rose does indeed jump ship. But the article concludes with judging by this picture he certainly looks content to stick around at Spurs.
