Roy Keane gives his verdict on who will finish fourth in the Premier League this season

The race for fourth place in the Premier League continues to hot up with the final stretch of the campaign now in sight.

Tottenham Hotspur take to the field this evening against relegation-threatened Everton in north London with both sides having contrasting priorities.

Antonio Conte’s side come into the fixture in seventh place in the table and are six points behind rivals Arsenal who occupy fourth with both teams having played the same amount of games.

Arsenal leapfrogged Manchester United with a 3-2 win against Watford yesterday, while the Old Trafford outfit were unable to reclaim their place after suffering a 4-1 defeat at Manchester City.

Despite the loss to their cross-city rivals, former United midfielder Roy Keane believes that his old side will still secure the final Champions League spot.

Keane said during his punditry appearance on Sky Sports’ Premier League TV channel (7:42pm, March 6, 2022): “Arsenal could be slight favourites now. I am praising Arsenal because they are doing well in the league, but they have had some shocking results in the cup competitions.

“If you said that a few months ago that they could finish ahead of Man United, you would have been locked up. It’s amazing, a big turnaround, but United, I think they will do it.”

Anything less than three points against Everton would be a disaster and all but end Tottenham’s outside chances of pipping Arsenal and Manchester United to fourth.

Spurs still have to face United and Arsenal before the end of the campaign, with every game now a must-win, failure to finish fourth will only stoke the fires of the Harry Kane rumour mill ahead of next season.
