Rumour Mill: Tottenham Chasing 21 Year Old Title Winner?

According to The Mirror, Tottenham Hotspur have re-opened their interest in want-away Leicester youngster Demarai Gray.

Earlier in the Summer, it was revealed that Gray was seeking regular first-team opportunities from Leicester boss Craig Shakespeare.

After recently holding a meeting to discuss the Englishman’s future at the club, it is understood that the 21 year old delivered an ultimatum to the senior management at the club, to either start the player more, or allow him to leave in the current window.

With time rapidly running out, it seems Tottenham are sniffing around the goods once more, reportedly setting up to test Leicester’s resolve with an up-front cash bid for the winger, as reported by The Mirror.

The wide-man has showcased his talent throughout the Summer, scoring twice in England’s glorious Under 21s European Championship campaign, while also netting against Sheffield United in Leicester’s Carbao Cup victory at Bramall Lane last week.

The pacey attacking midfielder has featured in all 3 of the Foxes opening Premier League fixtures of the new season, but only as a substitute, which is rumoured to be a source of great frustration for the 21 year old.

Shakespeare has previously taken a strong stance on Gray’s status at the club, reiterating a number of times that he is unwilling to sell the winger.

What do you make of the rumour? Do you think Gray is likely to leave the King Power stadium before Thursday night?
