Rumoured Spurs target claims he is ‘ready for a new challenge’

Rumoured Tottenham Hotspur target Jeremie Boga has admitted that he is ready to quit Sassuolo for a new challenge this summer.

Boga has been in terrific form since leaving Stamford Bridge to join the Serie A side in a £3.5million deal last summer.

The wide man has found the back of the net eight times in 25 Serie A outings so far (transfermarkt.com).

CalcioMercato reported back in March that Tottenham were interested in signing the winger but the Lilywhites could face competition from Barcelona, according to Sport.

The Ivory Coast international, who is reportedly available for around £15million this summer (Express), has now admitted that he is ready for a move a new challenge.

However, he also did not rule out staying at Sassuolo for the time being.

Speaking to Telefoot, Boga said: “I am ready for a new chapter.

“Nothing is definitive yet. I spoke to coach Roberto De Zerbi to have a better understanding of the situation.

“I am ready for a new challenge, whether it is in Italy or abroad, but I could remain at Sassuolo too.

“I have no regrets, as I made the right decision in leaving Chelsea. I think that was the best choice I could’ve made in the circumstances.

“I am having the best season of my career so far.”

Spurs Web Opinion

There have not been too many reports linking us with a move for Boga in recent weeks. We have been linked much more heavily with the likes of Ryan Fraser and Willian. If we are indeed interested in the Sassuolo star, I imagine he is not at the top of our list of targets.
