Rumoured Spurs target heaps praise on Harry Kane – ‘Best finisher I have seen in my life’

Rumoured Tottenham Hotspur target, Dean Henderson has admitted that Harry Kane is the best finisher he has ever seen in his life.

There has been plenty of speculation over Hugo Lloris’ future at Spurs, with reports indicating that the Tottenham captain could return to France in the summer.

Henderson is reported to be one of the names Spurs are eying as Lloris’ replacement ahead of the transfer window.

The 23-year-old has largely had to play second fiddle to David De Gea since returning to Old Trafford from his two-year loan spell at Sheffield United.

Duncan Castles claimed last month that United could let the goalkeeper leave this summer amidst interest from Tottenham.

Henderson, who has been a regular in Gareth Southgate’s last few England squads, has now admitted his admiration of Kane’s finishing.

The Man Utd academy graduate was talking about his regret of not being an outfield player while revealing that he strikes the ball as hard as the England captain.

He told UMM’s YouTube channel (as relayed by HITC): “Sometimes, I do regret not going outfield. I think I would have had an opportunity as well.

“I reckon I would have been a striker – my finishing, I do it every day and I wish that I may be stuck with it. I think I could have been scoring them instead of saving them.”

When asked who in the England squad he would compare his finishing to, Henderson said: “It’s hard to say. I smash it as hard as Harry Kane.

“I hit it as hard, but he’s just the best finisher I have seen in my life, so I cannot put myself in that category.”
