Rumoured Spurs target hints at summer exit

Tanguy Ndombele has opened the door to a potential exit from Lyon.

Tottenham Hotspur reportedly had a £40million offer during the summer rejected for the midfielder and would need to up their offer in the region of £55million (Mirror).

The highly sought after 21-year-old has been linked with a host of clubs including Manchester City and Chelsea.

Ndombele has scored twice in four Champions League appearances this season and has refused to rule out the possibility of a summer move.

The box-to-box midfielder made 32 league appearances for Lyon in Ligue 1 last season and managed to create an impressive 44 chances throughout the campaign.

Mousa Dembele’s contract at Tottenham expires during the summer and there has been no sign of a new deal being agreed for the 31-year-old who has been linked with possible moves abroad to China and the Middle East.

Ndombele would provide a fresh pair of legs in the middle of the park for Spurs, but would face tough competition for his signature.

The player said in an interview with L’Equipe as quoted by Football.London: “It means I am doing well.

“For now I am happy and it is good for me.

“But if in six months I am not happy, maybe we’ll talk about it a bit more. I am at Lyon and I am always looking ahead.

“I say to myself, ‘why not?’ but today I am not in any hurry.”
