Rumoured Spurs target keen on Premier League switch

Tottenham Hotspur failed to sign anyone in the summer transfer window, but will surely be lining up some signings for January or even next summer.

One man who Spurs have been linked with in recent months in Borussia Dortmund’s Christian Pulisic (Telegraph).

Pulisic has become one of the very best and most promising young talents in world football, but even this isn’t enough to get much of a game on the Dortmund wing right now.

The form of Jacob Bruun Larsen and Jadon Sancho has eased Pulisic out of favour slightly.

The United States international has scored two and set up a further two this season though.

Pulisic’s contract runs out in 2020, so it won’t be long before the youngster is up for grabs on a free, unless he signs a new deal.

The longer that the winger lets his contract run down, the cheaper he will become for those keen on him, like Spurs and Liverpool.

The Daily Mail claimed in the summer that Spurs were planning a £50m bid.

The player also told the Daily Mail that he is open to a move to the Premier League.

He said: “England, the Premier League, is a league where lots of kids dream of playing so there is no reason why maybe one day I won’t play here.

“As you can see, we are having a great year at Dortmund and I am enjoying every moment of that.

“Then when the time comes for me to talk in the breaks about my future, then that’s when those things happen.

“Like I said before, reading these articles [about me], I tend to stay away from that stuff. I know it is going to be there but it is not my priority.”
