Rumoured Spurs target left out of club’s squad for today’s match

Rumoured Tottenham Hotspur target Arkadiusz Milik has not been included in Napoli’s squad for this evening’s pre-season friendly against Pescara.

Gennaro Gattuso’s squad for the match against the Serie B opposition was revealed on the official Napoli Twitter account with the Polish international nowhere to be seen.

Football Insider claimed earlier today that Tottenham were preparing a £14million offer for the 26-year-old with both clubs said to have already held initial talks over a possible deal.

Napoli are reported to have slashed their asking price for the striker after failing to receive a bid in the region of £46million and are now instead hoping to receive a £32million bid.

Spurs head coach Jose Mourinho admitted earlier today during the pre-Everton press conference that he is hopeful the club can sign a new striker before the transfer window closes next month (Sky Sports).

Milik is in the last year of his contract at Napoli with the Italian outfit currently at risk of losing him for free next summer.
