Rumoured Spurs target refuses to rule out summer exit

Rumoured Tottenham Hotspur target Jack Grealish has refused to rule out the prospect of leaving Villa Park this summer.

Of all of Daniel Levy’s recent transfer mistakes (clearly a long list), his refusal to pay £6million to sign Jack Grealish two seasons ago (The Sun), ranks very near the top.

It has been claimed that the midfielder is now valued at a whopping £80 million by Aston Villa (Daily Mail).

Spurs and Manchester United have both previously been linked with moves for the 24-year-old when the transfer market opens in the summer (Daily Star).

The fact that Villa are now a step closer to retaining their Premier League status after their 1-0 win against Arsenal on Tuesday, could potentially dent any hopes of the player leaving his boyhood club.

When asked about the possibility of whether his appearance at Villa Park against Arsenal could be his last in their colours, Grealish told Sky Sports after the win over the Gunners: “I’m not too sure at the moment.

“I have one aim and that is to keep this club in the Premier League, where this whole fanbase know we belong.

“That’s all I’m thinking about at the moment and hopefully we can do that on Sunday.”

Grealish certainly has done nothing to end the speculation regarding his future. I suspect we will see one of the big six eventually pay what Villa are demanding for the midfielder. However, it is not going to be Tottenham unless we get a massive cash influx through selling Ndombele.
