Rumoured Spurs target to weigh up his options at the end of the season

Rumoured Tottenham Hotspur target Eric Bailly could be ready to leave Manchester United in the summer if his chances of first-team football do not improve.

‘Sources’ have told ESPN that the central defender is prepared to give himself the rest of the campaign to win a regular slot in Jose Mourinho’s starting line-up.

He has only made three Premier League starts for United this season and managed 15 in all competitions during the last campaign.

The report claims that United would be reluctant to sell the Ivorian to a Premier League rival, despite apparent interest from both Spurs and Arsenal.

Tottenham have their own house get in order before looking at additions to their defensive ranks.

Toby Alderweireld’s current contract expires this summer, but the club have an option to extend the deal by a further season. However, this would trigger a transfer release clause of £25million if a bid was made in the last two week’s of the summer 2019 window.
