Thiago Silva has posted a cryptic message on Serge Aurier’s Instagram account which has left some Spurs fans on social media speculating about the Brazilian’s next move.
Silva’s contract with Paris Saint-Germain runs out in the summer and the Ligue 1 giants have confirmed that the long-serving defender will be leaving the club after eight successful seasons in Paris (BBC).
Tottenham are said to be interested in snapping up the Brazilian international, with Jose Mourinho reportedly an admirer of the 35-year-old (The Sun).
Spurs are said to be competing with Arsenal and Everton for Silva’s signature.
Amidst the rumours linking him with a move to the Lilywhites, Silva posted a comment that consisted of a series of ‘curious smiley faces’ and a set of ‘laughing smiley faces’ in response to a post by his former PSG team-mate Aurier.
Needless to say, some Spurs fans picked up on the comment and saw it as a sign that the centre-back could be North London bound.

I do not believe there is anything substantial here as that comment just seems like regular banter between two friends rather than any cryptic message. However, I would not be surprised if Jose Mourinho wants to bring Silva in as a short term option for his winning mentality.
