Highly rated Bordeaux midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni has revealed his desire to play under Tottenham head coach Jose Mourinho one day.
Jeunes Footeaux reported last month that Tchouameni is being hunted by the Wolves after enjoying impressing in Ligue 1.
He has caught the eye with his performances for Bordeaux over the last couple of seasons, with his all-round ability even drawing comparisons with Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba (RMC Sport).
Nuno Espirito Santo is said to have been impressed with the Frenchman and is reportedly keen on bringing him to the Molineux. However, it appears that Tchouameni would rather play for Santo’s compatriot Jose Mourinho.
The midfielder was quoted by Girodins4Ever as saying: “Working with José Mourinho? Why not I think he’s one of the best coaches in the world.
“I think it can only be beneficial for a player to work with a coach of this calibre.”
Tottenham have been linked with several central midfielders in the January transfer window (L’Equipe as relayed by the Sun) but Jose Mourinho has so far been insistent that he is not looking to bring in any new players and that he is happy to work with the squad at his disposal (Sky Sports).

Having Jose Mourinho as our head coach certainly makes us a more attractive proposition to top players across Europe. Not only does the 56-year-old likely have his own relationships with some players and agents but even people who haven’t worked with him will likely be attracted by the prospect of working with a legend of the game.
