Ruslan Malinovskyi adds fuel to transfer rumours by liking tweet about Spurs

Atalanta midfielder Ruslan Malinovskyi has added more fuel to the fire by liking a Twitter post from the Premier League that celebrated a win for Tottenham Hotspur against Wolverhampton Wanderers this weekend.

Tottenham have been keeping an eye on the market for an attacking midfielder this summer (Evening Standard), which has seen them linked with Malinovskyi over the past week (TuttoAtalanta).

Spurs have also found exits for midfielders like Giovani Lo Celso and Tanguy Ndombele to Villarreal and Napoli respectively, which has freed up space in their ranks.

Marseille were said to be in the mix to sign Malinovskyi at one point (Calciomercato), but they ended their interest after the Ukrainian confirmed his desire to switch to Spurs in this summer transfer window (Corriere Della Serra).

It has also been reported that Tottenham are in line to open discussions with the Italian outfit regarding a potential move (TuttoMercatoWeb).

Sergio Reguilon has even been mentioned as a potential swap option (Corriere Della Serra), with the left-back having already been put on the transfer shortlist (Daily Mail).

Malinovskyi’s wife also strongly suggested this week that they are in line to leave the club (The Express), with the player’s latest Twitter like only adding more fuel to the rumours.

Spurs Web Opinion:

The North London side is desperate for a creative addition to their team, looking at their struggles vs Wolves recently. Malinovskyi could be a solid option as the 29-year-old was directly involved in ten goals and seven assists for his side from 41 matches across all competitions in the previous season (Transfermarkt). One would wonder about the impact he could make with the players ahead of him though.
