Ryan Mason reveals Spurs duo are injured – Might not play again this season

Tottenham Hotspur interim manager, Ryan Mason, has revealed that Eric Dier and Japhet Tanganga missed the squad today through injury (Alasdair Gold).

Spurs and Mason named an unchanged XI from the side that beat Crystal Palace last week, featuring a back three of Emerson Royal, Cristian Romero, and Clement Lenglet.

It is unknown whether the dropped Dier would have been recalled, but after Spurs earned all three points and a clean sheet last time out, that was by no means a certainty.

Unfortunately, the Lilywhites could not turn their rotten away form around this afternoon, as the defensive errors kept on coming.

Tottenham conceded within seven minutes, something that has become quite the theme of late, and struggled to get a foothold in the game until they went 2-0 down in the second half.

Mason has now admitted that he does not know whether Dier and Tanganga will return again this season.

Spurs Web Opinion:

Season-ending injuries don’t mean too much with two games to go, to be honest. Tottenham need a couple of wins to stand a chance at Europa League football. Anything short of that and I would rather miss Europe altogether.
