The news of Tottenham Hotspur parting ways with Mauricio Pochettino and replacing him with Jose Mourinho is seemingly still sinking in for many Spurs fans.
While there is understandably some excitement over the start of a new era, most fans are still trying to process the fact that Pochettino won’t be in the touchline for Spurs games from now on.
Many former and current Tottenham players have sent touching messages to the Argentine wishing him the best for his future, and the response certainly shows how highly regarded he was by the Spurs stars.
Former Spurs midfielder Ryan Mason has become the latest to send a message thanking Pochettino for all that he has done for him.
The Argentine famously gave Mason his breakthrough into the Spurs first team and enjoyed a great relationship with him.
Later on when the midfielder suffered a nasty head injury whilst at Hull that forced him into early retirement, the 47-year-old was one of many that supported him through his rehabilitation.
Mason, who now serves as an academy coach at Tottenham, took to social media to post the following message:
Gaffer! Thankyou for everything you have done for me, as a player and more importantly as a man! Good luck in your next chapter 💙 pic.twitter.com/eU3bfYNF1P

While losing Pochettino has clearly come as a major blow to the fans as well as the players, we now have to get behind the new man and give him our full support. Daniel Levy has made the decision and only time will tell if it will prove to be the right one for the club.
