Ryan Sessegnon drops hint over future

Mauricio Pochettino admitted recently that Tottenham will undergo a painful rebuild in the summer (Evening Standard), hinting at the possibility of incomings and outgoings at the club.

Among the players Spurs have been linked with is Fulham wide man Ryan Sessegnon. The 18-year-old has impressed in some of his performances in his first season of Premier League football.

After a difficult start to the season, the teenager came into his own in the second half of the season but his efforts could not save Fulham from the dreaded drop.

With the Cottagers set to return to the Championship, there has been speculation linking Sessegnon with a move to Spurs (The Daily Mail).

The pacey left-footer, who scored two goals and registered six assists this season, has now spoken to The Sun about his future.

While he insisted that he remained a Fulham player for now, he didn’t hide his ambitions to continue playing Premier League Football on a regular basis.

He said, “Personally, I am still a Fulham player until 2020 but, of course, my aim is to play at the highest level.

“I am not sure where the future will take me but I have always wanted to play regular Premier League football.”

We believe Sessegnon would be a terrific singing as he clearly has potential and Pochettino would be just the man to get him to live up this would be the Spurs manager.

Given the inflated prices in the current transfer market for young players, paying around £30 million for Sessegnon represents decent value for the club.
