Ryan Sessegnon reacts to Tanguy Ndombele wondergoal on Twitter

Ryan Sessegnon has taken to social media to react in awe to Tanguy Ndombele’s outstanding lob in Tottenham’s 3-1 win over Sheffield United this afternoon.

Ndombele started in a slightly deeper role than usual as he was one of the two pivots in midfield alongside Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg as Jose Mourinho shifted to a back three.

Instead of being taken off around the hour mark, which has become the norm for the midfielder this season, he completed all ninety minutes at Bramall Lane.

The 23-year-old was one of Tottenham’s best players this afternoon, showing his quality on the ball while also putting in a good defensive shift.

Just when it seemed like the home side could come back into the game after they pulled a goal back in the second half, Ndombele produced a moment of magic that sealed the result for his side.

The midfielder was played through by a lobbed pass from Steven Bergwijn, letting the ball go over his shoulder and lobbing it with the outside of his right foot into the far corner despite having two defenders putting pressure on him.

The strike will likely be a major contender for goal of the season, and Sessegnon, who is on loan at Hoffenheim, certainly enjoyed it.

That goal not only showed Ndombele’s outstanding talent but also proved that he is now confident enough to try audacious things. It also appears as if his fitness levels are improving game by game as he did not look as tired as he sometimes does in the second half.
