Tottenham Hotspur’s Ryan Sessegnon had the dream start to his Tottenham career on Wednesday evening as he took to the pitch against Red Star Belgrade.
Not only was he given his first meaningful appearance for his new club, but it was also Sessegnon’s Champions League debut.
Pochettino handed the teenager 15 minutes on the pitch against a ten-man Red Star, with Spurs already 3-0 up in the match.
However, Sessegnon was not content with the scoreline as it was, driving at the Belgrade defence multiple times down the left-wing.
The pressure finally came good when Sessegnon managed to record his first assist for Tottenham by setting up Christian Eriksen in the box.
With Spurs taking on Sheffield United at home this weekend, many Spurs fans will be hoping to see their new player again at the new stadium.
Sessegnon has yet to appear at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and has now told fans that it is all about keeping the momentum going this weekend.
