“I’m sad to see it end really” Kane revels in prolific month

Harry Kane admits he is “sad to see September end” after 13 goals in eight games for Tottenham and England, according to Sky Sports.

Kane’s August hoodoo continued, his third in a row, however he started to put it behind him when Kane scored twice in England’s win over Malta on September 1st.

He then had an outstanding 30-day spell culminating in his double in the 4-0 victory at Huddersfield. Kane added a perfect hat-trick in Nicosia to doubles in games against Everton, Borussia Dortmund and West Ham.

“It’s a pleasure to play in this team,” Kane to Sky. “I’m there to put most of the chances away, but when you’ve got Dele and Christian, and you’ve got Ben and Tripps out in the wide areas and the guys backing it up from the back – it all helps.

“We’ve got a great unit at the minute. We’ve got a great squad.

“It’s been a good month. September’s been one of those months when everything’s gone my way. I’m sad to see it end really.”

Kane  added: “I just feel confident. Every chance I get in and around the box I feel like I’m going to score, or definitely work the keeper.

“I’m a little disappointed not to go on and get another hat-trick, but it was a great result.”

The fact he is disappointed in not scoring a hat-trick tells so much about his character. He’s constantly striving to better himself and his commitment to Spurs is commendable.

I have no doubt he will surpass Alan Shearer and will become the Premier League and our greatest ever goalscorer. He’s worked hard to get to where he is  and deserves every success.
