Sam Allardyce wants Ange Postecoglou to change one thing about the way he addresses the media.

Postecoglou no longer the media darling?
When he arrived at Tottenham last summer, it seemed like Postecoglou had the journalists eating out of his hands, with the Australian very much being the toast of the English media.
He was giving them great pithy one-liners and many were won over by his wit and straight-talking tendencies.
However, that appears to have changed a little this season, with the relationship between the Spurs boss and some journalists seeming a little more touchy.
The 59-year-old’s remark about having won trophies in his second season was thrown back at him after Tottenham’s North London derby defeat, with Postecoglou pointing out that he was not going to stop saying it just because some people do not like it (Sky Sports).

Postecoglou asked to cheer up
Allardyce noted that the Tottenham boss is a little more closed off to the media these days than when he first arrived at the club.
The former Blackburn boss called on the Australian to brighten up and showcase his personality more in press conferences.
Speaking about Postecoglou, Allardyce said on No Tippy Tappy Football Podcast: “I wish he would cheer up by the way. When he comes on for the media. He puts his head down and he hardly looks. I wish he would show a bit more of his personality because he does have a personality with his players.”

Postecoglou in defensive mode?
Results tend to dictate how affable managers are in press conferences and Postecoglou has been under pressure at the start of the season, with Tottenham not getting off to the start they would have wanted.
So it is only natural that the 59-year-old is not smiling and joking around with the journalists as much as he was at the start of his Tottenham career.
However, Postecoglou is certainly not one to dance around questions like certain managers do and tends to offer direct answers.
