Tottenham summer transfer target Savinho has informed Manchester City of his desire to leave during this transfer window.

Roberto De Zerbi is adamant that Tottenham Hotspur fans will be happier by the end of this summer transfer window following talks with the higher‑ups at Spurs.

Tottenham have been busy this summer, securing the signature of six players so far and splashing a whopping £237 million on those recruits.

Strengthening the midfield did, in fact, take most of that money, as Spurs spent £185 million on two midfield additions – Mateus Fernandes for £85 million and Sandro Tonali for £100 million.

Attention is now expected to turn to the attacking line, where Tottenham could again spend a significant amount if they are to get their targets.

Savinho tells City he wants to leave as Tottenham keep him top of their list

One man who has been on Tottenham’s radar is Savinho. The Brazilian has been linked with Spurs for most of this summer, but they have still not been able to secure his signature.

With the saga ongoing, Fabrizio Romano has now provided an update on the Manchester City winger, who has since returned to training in Manchester.

According to the Italian journalist, it is understood that Savinho has informed City about his desire to leave the Etihad this summer.

The wide forward is seeking more playing time and has made that clear to City, who must now decide on the winger’s next steps, with the situation now firmly in the club’s hands.

As for Spurs, Romano claims that Savinho remains a top target.

Romano’s tweet reads: “Savinho informs Manchester City about his desire to leave this summer. Savio wants to play more and develop in his career, #MCFC have been informed by the winger. All in Man City hands now. Tottenham have Savinho on top of their list as revealed since May.”

Romano later added: “Tottenham keep considering Savinho their top priority with Brazilian winger keen on the move. Savio wants to go and #MCFC now aware. Deal now depends on Man City stance as talks have been ongoing since June.”

Spurs risk missing out on targets as forward pursuit stalls

While Tottenham have moved with great intent when securing the services of defenders and midfielders, they seem to be less proactive in their pursuit of forward players.

This in turn has led to them missing out on a few of their targets. Crysencio Summerville was one on Tottenham’s radar, but the West Ham man has since moved to the Middle East.

Spurs Web revealed that Summerville’s reason for snubbing a move to Tottenham was out of respect for West Ham.

Bournemouth forward Eli Junior Kroupi is another player on Spurs’ radar, but with Tottenham not being able to secure the Cherries man, Barcelona and Manchester City are now beginning to show interest.
