Schmeichel impressed by Kane

Ex Manchester United goalkeeper Peter Schmeichel speaking recently on The Debate Show, believes he has never seen a Premier League player that possess the amount of hunger that our star man Harry Kane has.

Speaking on the Sky Sports show, new to our tv screens this season, the Danish legend spoke in glowing terms about or hat-trick hero.

Schmeichel, who has paid close attention to Kane’s meteoric rise in recent seasons, enthused “He’s chasing the opportunity to score goals more than anyone else in the Premier League at present.

“If you look at the goals he scores, they’re not a particular kind of goal.

“I know he scores a lot coming in from the left, he can be in the right spot to tap it in and he can shoot from 40 yards.

The big Dane recalled how his son Kasper (Leicester’s Goalkeeper) knew all too well about Kane’s abilities following Spurs’ visit to Leicester City back in May.

Kane struck past the younger Schmeichel on four occasions that night, and Schmeichel senior recalled what his son said to him.

“I remember what Kasper said after he scored a hat-trick against him.

“Kasper was furious in the event, of course he should be, but he said he was so impressed as he’d never played against a player who was that hungry.

“He was everywhere and he really had to keep an eye on him.

“One moment he there’s and the next he’s on the left outside the box.

“That kind of hunger is very special.

“Off the top of my head, I can’t remember anyone like that to ever play in the Premier League.”

From continually hearing about his inability to find the net in August to him now being compared to the best, things can surely only get better for Tottenham’s Man of the Moment.
