Score prediction for Colchester United vs Tottenham in the Carabao Cup

In just a matter of hours, Tottenham Hotspur will take to the Colchester United pitch in their first Carabao Cup game of the new season.

This will give the Lilywhites a chance to not only put their name into the pot for the next round, but also to move past the recent Premier League and Champions League woes.

With Liverpool already looking dominant in the Premier League and Man City always being a threat, Spurs could well see the cup competitions as their best chance for a trophy this season.

In fact, the League Cup was actually the last trophy won by a Spurs team all the way back in 2008 when it was referred to as the Carling Cup.

Pochettino will likely rotate his squad after the weekend clash against Leicester City, perhaps giving youth a chance to impress in the first team.

I am predicting a comfortable win for the Spurs boys and a huge night for young Troy Parrott in a 4-1 away win.

Parrott will grab two goals, while Dele Alli and Lucas Moura will add one each.
