Spurs fan Parker delighted to be at the Lane

White Hart Lane - Tottenham Hotspur Football News

Scott Parker has reflected on an enjoyable first season at Tottenham.

The hard-working midfielder joined Spurs in a £5million deal from West Ham last summer and admits it’s a pleasure to play for the club he supported as a boy.

Parker was one of the buys of the Premier League campaign and helped Spurs to go on an eleven game unbeaten run after making his debut.

The England international has helped to add some steel to the middle of the Tottenham park to compliment the likes of Luka Modric and Gareth Bale.  He allows others to play their game while he sweeps up behind them – something we have missed for years.

The 31-year-old told the press: “I think I’ve complemented the team well and the players have complemented me.

“I didn’t lose until my 11th game for the club, away to Stoke.

“We went on a great run and that coincided with me coming into the team, so I took great confidence from that.

“As a kid I supported Spurs, so it has been fantastic for me.”
