Some Spurs fans on social media have been left fuming as Tottenham once again conceded a late equaliser to throw away two points against Newcastle.
Jose Mourinho stuck with the same eleven that started the 2-0 win against Aston Villa two weeks ago, choosing to leave Son Heung-min on the bench.
The away side made a lacklustre start to the game and only responded after going a goal down just before the hour mark.
Spurs fought back and took the lead not too long after thanks to a quickfire Harry Kane brace.
However, Jose Mourinho’s men once again invited pressure on to themselves in the second half as the away side created chance after chance.
Newcastle eventually got their reward as Joe Willock thumped home the equaliser from close range with five minutes of regular time left on the clock.
Some Tottenham fans on social media admitted that they are now tired of seeing the North Londoners throw away points in the same manner as they have all season.
These performances are just the same every single week — doesn’t matter who we play. The tactical approach, lack of structure in the pressing, identity, everything. No urgency unless we concede. Nothing else to add which hasn’t been already said time and time again this season.

Terrified performance. Could see that coming a mile away, it’s always the same. Can’t kill games off.
We never, ever, EVER take the initiative and kick on.

Conceding 22 shots and almost 4xG to this Newcastle side is laughably bad. That’s not individuals letting Jose down, that’s just systemic failure that is being hauled along by the brilliance of certain individual players

Cant comprehend how we let Newcastle United have 22 attempts on goal. Newcastle.

Bad results happen. It’s normal every now and again. But this isn’t a bad result… we were played off the park by one of the worst teams in the league. Again.

We need a whole defence. Sanchez haters will focus on him. He wasn’t good today. Tanganga was non existent. Not sure what he was doing all game. And Reguillon was awful defensively too. Rodon slightly creditable but only an average performance. Rest of the team lacklustre #THFC

What an awful performance. Newcastle by far the better team. Kane & Hugo good. Rodon left hopelessly exposed by Davinson. Reggie awful. Ndombele is not a CM. Lo Celso weak. Lamela wow how poor. All on Jose this.

The same thing happening every week
The same mistakes happening every week
The same players who make those mistakes picked without punishment
The same stale, tepid, one dimensional tactics every week
The same outcome every week— Martin (@MPH1982) April 4, 2021
#thfc and their second halves are on repeat.

Spurs Web Opinion
We did sit off Newcastle at times but when we pressed them high up the pitch, all they had to do was to play long-balls down the channels which kept causing us problems. If we are going to play on the front foot, we need more reliable one vs one defenders than the likes of Sanchez.
