‘See you soon’ – Player sends message to Spurs after leaving on loan

Bryan Gil has issued a message on Twitter after securing a loan move from Tottenham to Valencia.

The Spanish club announced the loan signing of Gil until the end of the season on deadline day, with no option or obligation to buy clause at the deal’s conclusion (Fabrizio Romano).

The 20-year-old makes the move back to La Liga just six months after joining Tottenham from Sevilla, having struggled to secure a regular place in the Spurs line-up this term.

He has not made a single Premier League start for Spurs (Transfermarkt) and has been limited to a number of appearances off the bench under the tutelage of Antonio Conte.

Gil took to social media to react to the news of his move to Valencia shortly after it was made official by Spurs, saying: “See you soon and good luck.”

It has been a tough spell at Spurs for Gil so far and that is to be expected for a 20-year-old coming from a foreign country and league. Hopefully, this short stint back in Spain can see him get back to continuing his development, which is better than having limited cameos in the Spurs team.
