Tottenham set to hold ‘crunch talks’ with 28-year-old over his future in N17

Yves Bissouma, who is set to enter the final year of his Tottenham deal this summer, is expected to soon have crunch talks over a future as the club are set to make a decision on whether to cash in on him.

Two of Tottenham’s senior midfielders, Yves Bissouma and Rodrigo Bentancur, will both enter the final years of their contract this June, but the two players appear to be having contrasting fortunes.

The Uruguayan is continuing to play regularly and reports indicate that Bentancur is now set to be offered a new long-term deal by Tottenham.

However, in the case of the Mali international, he is struggling to get into the starting eleven and sources suggest that Spurs could listen to offers for Bissouma in the summer.

Yves Bissouma set for talks over his Tottenham future

Football Insider claim that Bissouma will hold ‘crunch talks’ over his future at the end of the season before a decision is made on whether he will still be at the club next season.

The report states that the former Brighton man will seek assurances from Ange Postecoglou over game time if he is to remain at the club beyond the summer.

It is suggested that Spurs might not offer the 28-year-old such guarantees, and with this summer being the final opportunity to cash in on the player, they might put him on the shop window.

Bissouma already generating a lot of transfer interest

This report comes on the back of an update by GiveMeSport a few days ago which revealed that several clubs have already expressed an interest in signing Bissouma from Tottenham.

This includes Crystal Palace, who are backed to enquire about the midfielder when the transfer opens, and Ligue 1 pair, Olympique Marseille and OGC Nice, who are both fans of the Spurs man.

It was revealed that Bissouma, who first made his name at Lille before his move to the Premier League, is open to the idea of returning to France.
