Serge Aurier sends message to fans amidst speculation he may leave Tottenham

Tottenham Hotspur right-back, Serge Aurier, has taken to Instagram to thank fans for their well wishes during what has been a difficult two months for him away from the pitch.

Serge’s brother, Christopher, was shot dead outside of a nightclub in Toulouse in July, although the Spurs man continued to play out the remainder of the season (BBC).

Since then, the Ivory Coast international has been linked with a move away from North London to the Serie A with AC Milan.

This comes 12 months after the defender admitted that he came close to leaving Tottenham following the 2018/19 campaign (Bal des Productions).

The Daily Mail have reported that AC Milan are willing to pay £12m for the former PSG man, although Daniel Levy is keen to hold out for £23m.

Aurier posted to Instagram this week to send his thanks to those who have supported him, as well as insisting that the best is yet to come from him.

The caption read: ‘I received a lot of love messages in this difficult time I said thank you the best remains to come thank you thanks everyone’.
