Sergio Reguilon reveals he has spoken to PSG star about life under Conte

Sergio Reguilon has revealed that he spoke to Paris Saint-Germain right-back and former Real Madrid teammate Achraf Hakimi about life under Conte.

The Moroccan played under Conte at Inter, also in a wing-back role, and flourished to become one of the best in his position across Europe.

Hakimi was loaned out to Borussia Dortmund, signed by Conte at Inter Milan and then sold to Mauricio Pochettino’s PSG in the summer.

Conte is known for his back three formations, often deploying very attacking wing-backs, some of them originally full-backs and some of them wingers.

While Reguilon has been a bundle of energy in Tottenham’s opening two games under the Italian, his end product in front of goal has been hit and miss, while his defending has been rather erratic.

The Spanish defender revealed he had spoken to Hakimi about his new head coach (via Evening Standard): “I’ve watched a lot of videos of Chelsea and Inter Milan, and I have a friend at Inter, Achraf Hakimi, who I spoke to about the gaffer.

“He told me I will improve a lot under him and I want to do that as soon as possible. He said I will have to work really, really hard but I will improve a lot. In one week, I can already see that.”

Spurs Web Opinion:

I think Antonio Conte is going to be incredible for Sergio Reguilon. At the moment, there are many promising areas of his game but also many shortcomings. Conte has a reputation of enhancing the former and removing the latter in his wing-backs.
