Sessegnon reveals what Mourinho has said he wants from the players – ‘Show some balls’

Tottenham Hotspur new boy, Ryan Sessegnon, could be handed his first start for the club tomorrow night in the Champions League group stages.

Mourinho hinted at the teenager’s involvement this evening by inviting him along to attend the pre-match press conference by his side, which he conducted very maturely.

Sessegnon has made a number of cameos for Spurs now, most recently against Burnley in the Premier League at the weekend, where he was given around 15 minutes at the end.

The left-back/left-winger joined Spurs from Fulham on deadline day in the summer transfer window, but was out injured for the first couple of months of his Tottenham career.

However, he will have to fight the likes of Danny Rose, Ben Davies, and Jan Vertonghen for the left-back spot, as well as Heung Min Son and Lucas Moura for a place on the left-wing.

Sessegnon has now revealed that Mourinho has been asking for him and his teammates to show some fight for the club.

He said (Football London): “He wants the players to show they’re here to fight, show some balls.”
